Sleepshill is founded on the principles of understanding place and people.

Our work reflects a commitment to knowing where we are, how we feel, what we see, what we can learn, and our experience in place.

Herding cats is not always fun.

Finding the needle in the haystack is impossible.

Untangling what you’ve been asked to shape can be terrifying.

Starting something unfamiliar can be hard.

Curating good outcomes takes effort.

We can help.

It's all in the name.

Sleepshill is named after Sleeps Hill in Belair in the lower Adelaide Hills, which is home to our founder, Daniel Bennett, and his family.

The former quarries of Sleeps Hill in Belair revealed an ancient landscape, shaped by millions of years of land and climate changes as well as the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains.

It is a striking reminder of Adelaide's fragile landscape so close to the city.

Much of the well-known Sleeps Hill stone forms the basis of many of the facades of Adelaide's finest homes. There was even a small railway line into the valley at one point from the Belair railway line.

The Sleeps Hills Quarry Walk is a must, presenting some amazing views across Adelaide. More information on Sleeps Hill can be found here and here.
